Isaiah Dreads is a 19 year old grime/hip-hop artist from Dorset. He turned heads in 2015 with his first mixtape ‘Nothin’ But A Mixtape’ which received support from tastemaker platforms Noisey and Pigeons and Planes and he was hailed as one of the ‘Future Grime Ministers’ by BBC Radio 1’s Phil Taggart.
This was followed by Isaiah’s second mixtape ‘Lights Turn Green’ described by Clash Music as ‘his most adept, confident document yet, the sound of an artist truly coming into his own’. The mixtape received support across BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra from the likes of Huw Stephens, Mistajam, Target and Cameo. Further radio support came when Isaiah delivered his debut ‘Fire In The Booth’ for Charlie Sloth on 1Xtra earlier this year.
Performing live is what Isaiah loves most and in November he supported Bugzy Malone for his successful ‘Facing Time’ tour in addition to performing for the second time at Glastonbury along with performances at The Great Escape and Visions Video bar to name a few.
2016 has been a landmark year for Isaiah. In September Zdot, the acclaimed producer and songwriter (Wiley, Stormzy, Lady Leshurr, Krept & Konan, Devlin, Kano) signed Isaiah to his joint venture label 101 Music, in conjunction with Sony RCA. Isaiah’s first EP ‘Lone Wolf’ will be released on 9 December and the lead track ‘One Minute’ has already earned support from BBC Introducing: Solent, Mistajam, Target, Huw Stephens, Sian Anderson and Charlie Sloth. Isaiah has also been selected to perform at Roundhouse Rising Festival in 2017; a special collaboration with BBC Music Introducing showcasing a line-up of some of the UK’s best up-and-coming artists.
