Riton aka Henry Smithson is hailed as one of the UK’s brightest and established talents. A career as a DJ, remixer and Producer.

Whether it’s his pulsating DJ sets, genre crashing team ups (Carte Blanche, Die Verboten) or the or the multitude of original productions and remixes, Riton has gathered accolades from every corner, his enchanting remix touch has breathed 4/4 life into artists from M.I.A to Kylie Minogue.
In 2015 Riton starred in the new iPad commercial with Swedish indie-pop singer Elliphant with the premiere broadcast live on the Grammy telecast. Riton remixed Elliphant’s 2014 song “All or Nothing.” wrote, recorded samples, created music and performed the track live with Elliphant and Producer GLK, using only iPads.  Riton continue’s his DJ sets Worldwide at Clubs, Festivals and Parisian showcase’s and for Silver Odyssey’ Phuture-Club parties solely using the tiny iPad and two turntables. The future of technology.

Recent 2015 productions include Ritons co-production on the Mark Ronson track “Daffodils”. Autumn 2015 a new EP on Riton Time is scheduled for release and an album with Soul Wax.
2014 and 2013 saw releases of Riton’s ‘Lost My Mind’ EP saw the former boy wonder of Techno release his first original material. Other releases on OWSLA, ED Banger, Riton Time and Columbia Records. Riton’s ‘Can’t Stop The Clock’ album of Hip Hop, Urban, House and techno came as a surprise for many, after traditionally being known for his Kosmiche tinged Electro-Techno sound, his Space Ibiza residencies and tour DJ for Radio Soulwax.

The second half of 2009 saw another stunning collaboration, this time with Primary 1 on ‘Who’s There’ (released on Erol Alkan’s Phantasy Sound label), and a slew of incredible remixes – his take on Kid Sister’s ‘Right Hand Hi’ caused chaos in clubs.

2011 and 2010 saw exciting success with Carte Blanche, Riton and DJ Medhi’s brainchild, born in 2009 and ‘Black Billionaires’ EP, mixed by bass master Alex Gopher released. Five tracks of Chicago house flavour and neck-breaking breaks. A shout-out to the masters, with no nostalgia whatsoever. The record includes club monster ‘Gare Du Nord’ as well as the catchy ‘Do! Do! Do!’ featuring Kid Sister. Booking a world tour before it was even released, ‘Black Billionaires’ EP did not disappoint. Then came the ‘Fun Never Stops’ Tour, as well as dark and downright dirty remixes for the likes of the Chromeo, Scissor Sisters and Uffie. ‘White Man on the Moon’ EP with the four-track, groove infused affair delves further into their love of house music and included the banging ‘Jack on the Moon’ and ‘With You’ featuring Hot Chip’s, Alexis Taylor.

The 2008 release ‘Eine Kleine Nacht Musik’ was a more down tempo homage to his Krautrock influences, aptly showcasing another side to Riton’s prolific musical creativity.

Carte Blanche success aside, Riton as a sole entity is still very much continuing on as one of the UK’s most exciting beat makers.
